An after-school program was developed to benefit students most in need of academic support.  Teachers and/or parents can request extra help based on progress, report card grades, reading level, previous TAKS or ITBS grades, and need for more individualized attention.

Certified teachers who are currently employed with Sweet Home ISD conduct tutorials on Tuesdays from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m. Tutoring groups consist of a certified teacher and three to six students in each group.  A snack is provided. Either a parent or designated adult is asked to pick up the child by 4:30 p.m. If transportation is a problem, students may be transported home on the school bus.
